Notice of Property Tax Increase
The City of Aragon has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will result in an increase in property taxes by 0.50%
All Concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at City Hall located at 2814 GA-101, Aragon, GA 30104 on October 7, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at City Hall on October 9, 2025 at 6 p.m. and October 16, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 6.490 mills, an increase of 0.032 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 6.458 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $200,000 is approximately $2.56 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $150,000 is approximately $1.92.
